Be a Mentor at BTW
Thanks for your interest in BTW! Watch this space for next year's details.
Between The Waves Conference and Festival, held June 7-9, provides musicians the knowledge to pursue, the expertise to implement, and the tools to guide their journey toward earning a living making music, and to have a good time doing it. Conference sessions offer relevant practical knowledge and actionable takeaways, and paid festival slots offer musicians a shot to play for new crowds. Conference activities and festival performances are also natural opportunities for musicians to build community and to network with other musicians and a variety of music professionals.
In addition to informative and engaging conference presentations and panel sessions, BTW also offers attendees the opportunity to connect with experienced musicians on an informal basis for one-on-one mentoring with peers who’ve been where they are and faced the challenges they’re working through. None of us ever truly gets there alone; we’ve all had a hand along the way. Being a volunteer mentor at the Between The Waves Conference and Festival is a chance to “pay it forward” by helping others benefit from your hard-earned knowledge and experience and to help build the future of our music community.
Ideal Between The Waves Conference and Festival volunteer mentors are passionate about music, friendly and have good interpersonal communication skills, and interested in sharing their knowledge and experience.
